βI found this recipe very forgiving of the substitutions I had to make for the onion and garlic powder and lager beer. I used a small quartered onion, a few roasted garlic cloves, and a light ale beer I had in the frig. I had about a 1.5 quart of "drippings" β β a cook, 5β
βEXCELLENT! Mine only took 3 hours in the oven with the lid on. When I pulled it out to check it, the pork was a beautiful dark color and so tender, I chose not to continue. (I suspect if I had continued with the lid off that the dark color would have crisped uβ β a cook, 5β
