βI had high hopes for this pie because it sounded delicious. But it was a disappointment. I used unpeeled red Gala and green Granny Smith apples, made the recipe exactly as directed, pre-baked the crust for 8 minutes, and baked it at 400 degrees for 25 minuteβ β a cook, 2.0β
βI made this tonight and made a couple tweaks (based on the reviews). Par baked for 10 minutes on 215c. Dot butter across the top (otherwise the apples don't cook). This solved the issues mentioned before -- crispy bottom, soft apples on top!!β β a cook, 5.0β
